The client for this renovation had specific functional and programmatic demands that had to be met with the new design for the kitchen of this historic Athens residence. Conversion of an underutilized screened-in porch to a butler's pantry yielded a significant increase in storage and preparation space for the homeowners.

A wing of the main floor was converted into a generous master suite. A secondary bedroom was captured to provide space for his and hers closets. One of the owners required space for his extensive collection of regional literature.
